Abrid: A Study in Line and Direction

Abrid, ⴰⴱⵔⵉⴷ, draws its name from the Tamazight word for “path,” a nod to the language and heritage of our artisans.

Rooted in traditional Moroccan craftsmanship, the collection explores movement and direction through restrained lines, finding beauty in proportion, simplicity, and paths left unfinished.

Each design begins with a line. Sometimes continuous, sometimes interrupted, sometimes held in balance with another. Across the collection, these quiet gestures become studies in rhythm, negative space, and the subtle tension between structure and openness.

Handwoven in the Middle Atlas village of Beni M’rirt by artisans led by Soukina, Abrid continues her late mother’s legacy of excellence in dense medium to high knot techniques. Made from 100% live wool and dyed with natural ingredients by a third-generation family, each rug carries rich, sustainable color and a plush texture.

Minimal in form but deeply rooted in process, Abrid brings together the precision of contemporary design and the enduring traditions of Moroccan weaving.
