A Trade Program Rooted in Process

At Salam Hello, our Trade Program grew out of the way we were already working: in close collaboration with interior designers, architects, hospitality groups, and creative studios looking for rugs that felt personal, soulful, and deeply connected to place.

Over time, it became clear that many design professionals were not simply looking for a rug supplier. They were looking for a creative partner. Someone who could help source handmade Moroccan rugs with intention, develop custom rugs for specific spaces, and support the design process with a more thoughtful, hands-on approach.

Our Trade Program was built around that need. Not simply around purchasing, but around process.

Often, that process starts with something tactile. A set of color poms laid across a desk. A pile sample held against upholstery. A closer look at weave, texture, and how wool takes dye in natural light. These early steps help bring clarity to a project, giving designers a better understanding of quality, construction, and tone before moving into production.

For trade clients, we offer both pile samples and color poms to support that stage of the work. They are a practical tool, but also an important part of the design conversation, especially when specifying a custom Moroccan rug or refining a palette for a larger interior project.

From there, the work can unfold in many directions.

Sometimes it means adapting one of our existing designs through size, color, or proportion so it feels perfectly suited to a residential or hospitality space. Sometimes it means creating a fully bespoke custom rug, developed from the ground up in collaboration with our team and artisan partners in Morocco. A project may begin with a room scheme, a reference image, or a general mood, then slowly become something highly specific through dialogue, sampling, and design development.

Other times, the right piece is not something to be made, but something to be found.

Through our bespoke sourcing service, we help interior designers and trade clients source one-of-a-kind Moroccan rugs and textiles for residential, commercial, and hospitality projects. That might mean a vintage rug with a particular softness and patina, a runner in an unusual size, or a piece that adds just the right sense of history and character to a room. Because of our close relationships on the ground in Morocco, sourcing becomes more intentional, more informed, and more personal.

That closeness is central to everything we do.

Every Salam Hello rug is tied to a larger story of region, material, technique, and handwork. Our Trade Program allows us to share that story more fully with design professionals who value craftsmanship, transparency, and a more meaningful sourcing experience. It is why we offer one-on-one support. Why we care so deeply about helping refine color and construction. And why we love building long-term relationships with studios and designers who return to us project after project.

In some cases, the relationship extends even further. Beyond custom rugs and bespoke sourcing, we also help arrange sourcing trips to Morocco for trade clients and collaborators who want to experience the landscape, artistry, and process more directly. These trips can include showroom visits, sourcing appointments, and a closer understanding of the craftsmanship behind each piece. For many designers, that experience becomes part of the project story itself.

For interior designers, architects, hospitality groups, and accredited organizations seeking handmade Moroccan rugs, custom rugs, trade pricing, bespoke sourcing, or design support, our program offers a more considered way to work.
